Richard Durocher, O. D

Dr. Durocher is a native of Nashville and committed to providing excellence in eye care. He is a board certified Optometrist specializing in Corneal Refractive Therapy, specialty contact lenses, vision enhancement and pediatric vision care. Dr Durocher is active in providing community services, one of which is performing eye care on the Special Olympics Athletes.

The first degree that Dr. Durocher received was in Respiratory Therapy. He received extensive experience in critical and emergency care of premature infants and pediatrics.

Following the completion of his premedical requirements, Dr. Durocher attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis , Tennessee where he received his doctorate degree. While attending Southern College he was honored with many awards in clinical excellence and community service.

Dr. Durocher was a clinical investigator on research and development of Corneal Refractive Therapy during the FDA approval process. He is currently a clinical investigator for many other ophthalmic companies. Dr. Durocher resides in Nashville , Tennessee with his wife, Tarron, and their two children, Haley and Conner. He enjoys aviation as a licensed pilot.

 

Derek Peveler, O. D

Dr. Derek Peveler is a native of Kentucky.  He attended Western Kentucky University and received a Bachelors degree in both Chemistry and Biology.  During his undergraduate career, Dr. Peveler was an active member of Unite for Sight, and the Lions.

Dr. Peveler continued his education at the University of Missouri- St. Louis College of Optometry earning his Doctor of Optometry degree.  Throughout his graduate studies, Dr. Peveler was a student intern under the late N. Rex Ghormley, a renowned contact lens specialist.  During his last year of optometry school, Dr. Peveler completed clinical externships in primary eye care, pediatrics and binocular vision, disease, contact lenses and geriatric care while maintaining honor role. 

He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Tennessee Optometric Association.  Dr. Peveler also donates his clinical skills in school screenings and non-profit clinics.

Dr. Peveler resides in the greater Nashville area with his wife, Beth and son, Landon.
